Shooting for dentistry
Sarah graduated top of her class and now she's hoping to go to dentistry school. But if it wasn't for sport, she might not have been able to sit her secondary school exams.
Sarah was one of three girls who were unable to pay the school fees. Generously, the headmaster of the school agreed to waive the fees for all three in response to our continued support of the girls' netball team.
Sarah went on to secure a top 3% position in the national exams and is currently waiting to hear if she has been given one of the 12 dentistry places at the University of Malawi College of Medicine in Blantyre.
That's why supporting netball is so important to Watson's Malawi Partnership. Sport keeps girls in school.
Our thanks to Netball for All who have done so much to fund new netball courts and to the many Edinburgh sports clubs who have donated the strip, the trainers and the equipment to include more girls in sport.
