Moving into animal conservation

This year, for the first time, we have included a stay at the beautiful Kuti Wildlife Reserve to develop our interest in animal conservation.

As part of our focus on the environment, we have struck up a new relationship with Kuti Wildlife Reserve so that we can learn more about Malawi's conservation efforts and the critical role it plays in attracting lucrative tourism into the country.

Kuti offers sanctuary to a wide range of animals including zebra, eland, warthogs, monkeys and a giraffe called Ellie. The absence of dangerous game makes it safe for our students to pitch camp and enjoy an up-close relationship with bush life.

The reserve aims to raise awareness within the local community of the importance of ecology to preserve Malawi's wildlife for future generations.

In future years, we hope to get more involved with helping anti-poaching measures and environmental care as well as supporting schools in the area.
