Breaking ground on Charity's new lab

The foundations are finally underway for Achikondi Clinic's new blood laboratory.

The lab will be used to run routine screening blood tests for malaria and other conditions that would benefit from early intervention and treatment.

Our students were so impressed with the tour of the clinic in 2022 that they asked for some of their fundraising to be put towards building the lab.

Achikondi Clinic offers life-saving maternity services, early-stage cervical cancer treatment, immunisation and community care to the sick and injured in Area 24 of Lilongwe.

Once the clinic has built the lab, the next stage will be to equip it with basic blood testing equipment. Watch this space!
