Responding to climate change with Scotland Malawi Partnership





On Thursday, 4 November, some of our students 
attended the Climate Cooperation event hosted by the Scotland Malawi Partnership and had the honour of meeting His Excellency President of Malawi Dr Lazarus Chakwera. 

In his speech, the President of Malawi reminded the group gathered at City Chambers in Edinburgh that "when it comes to climate change, the voices that matter most are those of the most vulnerable". Which is why initiatives like the COP26 Youth Hub, based in Lilongwe, are so important.

Organised by Scotland Malawi Partnership, the week-long programme allowed young climate activists to follow and respond to the conference live. Students in Scotland including our own from George Watson's College were able to engage directly with these young activists and take inspiration for this battle against climate change.
